About Christi
Hi, I am an illustrator and graphic designer based in Linden, Randburg. I am a silly person with some serious passion for activism and art. I got my BA in visual communication specializing in illustration in 2016, and since then have been drawing and designing my way through various industries and spaces. I have worked as an illustrator and graphic designer for 8 years between small and larger agencies, as well as freelancing in between. I have also lectured and hosted workshops at Open Window, Vega Pretoria and the University of Johannesburg, teaching design, illustration, theory and software skills.
The only thing I love more than my passions is talking and sharing my passions with others. I always try take on as many different types of projects and work to expand my abilities and develop my skills. If I encounter a project with a skill that I am not familiar with or I haven’t tried before I can teach myself very quickly. I truly believe to expand and experience as many things creatively is super important, you will never know what sparks joy if you do not try it.
Since 2016 I have worked a lot and studied a lot but most of all discovered that drawing my little silly things that make me happy should have a place to live and be available for other people to love. Thus the “Christi Draws Things” shop was born!
